Sarah - Ch. Cot'n Pic'n Gin Fizz O' Polar Mist
The day we met Sarah, our whole world changed for the better. The lifestyle changes and new commitments we were glad to make to our lives on her behalf have resulted in countless blessings and wonderful experiences. We'll never be able to thank Marge Goodenough, Lynette Blue and Kathy and John Ronald enough for making it possible for us to take care of this precious girl.
Sarah (Ch. Cot’n Pic’n Gin Fizz o’ Polar Mist) is our first show girl. We are indeed spoiled, and it's hard not to spoil her back.

Sarah's pedigree includes (her mother) BIS and BISS Polar Mist My Blue Heaven who was the 2002 top winning bitch, and (grandmother) Top Brood Bitch Ch. Polar Mist Blue Ice. On the "male" side, Sarah's pedigree includes BISS Cot'n Pic'n B Fifty-Two and (grandfathers) Ch. BISS Cot'n Pic'n Shotavodka, and SCA BISS 2nd SCA Top Stud Dog 1996 and (on both sides) 1999 Am/Can Ch. Sanorka's Moonlite Trip t' Ren J. And (on both sides) Ch. Sanorka's Moonlight Gambler, ROMC, the Samoyed Club of Am.'s Top Stud Dog for the years of 1991, 1994, 1995-2000.
In addition to being a perfect size girl with a
fabulous coat, balance, and the prettiest face in the whole world, Sarah is the perfect combination of beauty, strength, grace, perpetual puppiness, sensitivity, and above all… intelligence.
Sarah is a certified Therapy Dog through the Pets on Wheels program. Together, we visit hospitals, retirement communities, schools, and help people who are grieving. She works wonders!
Sarah knows exactly what needs to be happening to keep order and peace. She understands responsibility and authority. She knows when trouble or joy is just around the corner, and she knows how to create or mitigate either one. Sarah doesn't take a day off- she's a 24/7 gal. And yet, she knows how to keep herself in balance. Her demand for morning snuggles tells us that.
Sarah honors, respects and understands the humans in her life, and knows how to get exactly what she wants from all of us.
She is an authentic gal, whether she’s:
-flirting with the judges, dogs, family, strangers....;
-napping straight through thunderstorms, hours of grooming, show craziness;
-gentle snuggling with humans, especially children;
-teaching the younger "kids" how to behave
-joyfully pulling any object (animate or inanimate)
-re-establishing peace, quiet and order after an excursion or excitement
-exhibiting her appetite for cats, rabbits, squirrels
Sarah’s beauty and temperament bring joy to all who meet her. She's an extroverted gal who knows the affect she has on people and she is very willing (for a small amount of cheese) to be an ambassador for the Samoyed breed.
She takes pride in owning the hearts of anyone who meets her. Of course, there are a few rabbits and squirrels who would say that is quite literally true....if they were still able to express themselves.
In March of 2004, Sarah had her first litter and proved that motherhood was another task she took on naturally, and at which she excelled.

Sarah gave birth to five healthy puppies: 4 snuggly gorgeous boys and 1 very sassy, fabulous girl. Flurry (Ch. Cot'n Pic'n Botelogin Lookin for Fun!) was that girl.
Sarah earned her title quickly thank to the professional handling of Barbara Waldkirch and Cathy Schott. She is a natural, confident, perfomer. Barbara handled Sarah from her first point to Winner’s Bitch at the 2007 Potomac Valley Samoyed Club Specialty. Cathy finished Sarah at Sarah’s other major win in October 2007.
Sarah is retired from the show ring, but she's far from retired from work. Sarah earned her Therapy Dog certification through Pets On Wheels of Central Maryland so now she visits hospitals, continuing care care facilities and schools and works to bring happiness to people who need a little cheering up. She's in her element!
Sarah is also working toward her Canine Good Citizen award by perfecting some of her obedience skills. She likes the treats part....
