Flurry delivered 5 fabulous puppies! 3 boys and 2 girls. We are excited about this breeding - Flurry is the 2007 National Speciality Am-Bred Class winner and Halo is the second place finisher in both the 2007 National Sweepstakes AND Bred-By Exhibitor classes
. Flurry is an absolutely amazing mother and....

All 5 puppies are fabulous, and all have been placed in wonderful homes. Listed on this page are key dates and events related to the puppies. If you have questions about future breedings, please contact us. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the all of puppy's photo albums.
October 21 - Blue Boy was delivered to his new family - the Jim and Lia Harmon! "Glacier" is his call name and this beautiful show boy is a very, very lucky pooch. He has two people parents who are almost as crazy about their dogs as we are. And Jim has a long, wonderful history raising Samoyeds. We look forward to staying in close touch with the Harmons and expect that Glacier will see the show ring in the Spring.
October 9 -
Dark Pink Girl was delivered to her new family, the Collins family, and what a wonderful placement this is! Her new call name is Harmony, and it's very fitting. BJ (Harmony's new daddy) is the music director at a church outside of Pittsburgh, PA. BJ and Lori are both experienced Sammy owners (Misty is their 14 1/2 year-old Sammy and she is a gracious mentor). Harmony's family also includes a teenage son and a 6-month puppy Ozzie (he's not a Samoyed but we won't hold that against them :). So Harmony has at least 5 enthusiasitic playmates...she is no doubt in an ideal place!
October 5- We decided to take Blue boy to the Fells Point Arts Festival to visit his future parents Jim and Lia Harmon. Jim and Lia had a very busy booth at the Fesitval. Well....what we thought would be a quick trip turned into an afternoon of explaining to people what "Samoyed" meant, and what this wonderful breed was all about. All wonderful stuff; Glacier was quite the breed embassador. Jim and Lia were thrilled to have Glacier spend time in their booth and Glacier felt likewise. We brought a very tired Glacier back to rest and prepare for his formal transfer in the coming weeks.
September 26- We had lots and lots of rain overnight, and more this morning and guess what? Puppies found the mud puddles, and created a few more. Every Sammy puppy needs a few mud baths in their life...just for balance....and they got their first one today. You'll see evidence when you look at the photo albums at the bottom of this page.
September 23- The first puppy leaves the pack! With happy tears, we said "Goodbye," to Green Boy as he left to spend the rest of his wonderful life with the Johnson family in Mt. Airy, Maryland. His new name is Frosty and he is one lucky puppy! He has two Samoyed-experienced parents, two people-sisters with whom he can play, and a big yard to explore! All elements of a Sammy puppy's dream come true.

September 22 Da
Blue Boy confirms his new Mommy and Daddy- the Harmon's of Chase, Maryland. He is another lucky puppy! He'll have a doggy brother and Samoyed-experienced parents. All 3 have met Blue Boy and everyone is kookoo about each other already. He'll join his new family in mid October. Until then, we'll be brushing up on his housetraining and continue his socializing.
September 20
Purple Boy mets his new Mommy for the first time - Ms. Beth Murray of the Philadelphia area. Another very lucky puppy!!!! He'll have white furry kitties to keep him entertained (and in his place) and a fabulous Sammy-experienced Mommy. He'll go to his new home in early October. Until then, we'll be working on his housetraining and continue his socializing.
September 18
Puppies got their third real bath in preparation for their photo shoot with photographer Tom Snyder. They are pros at bathing and drying by now. To see photos from that shoot, scroll down to the bottom of the page and prepare to be "awwwwwed!"
September 11-13
Due to Lisl's father's sudden and unexpected death, the entire extended family came to town. There was never a better time to hold a Sammy puppy! Each puppy had lots of people waiting to snuggle with a puppy, and every puppy had unlimited comfort to offer.
September 10
Puppies got their second bath- this time with puppy shampoo. They loved the bath and massage but the dryer took a little getting used to. By the time each was dry, however, the dryer was their friend. Flurry is still a wonderful, attentive Mom and loves to play with her puppies.
September 7-9
Puppies got their first extended car ride and their first major outing when they went with Lisl to her office in Newark, Delaware. They were the favorite distraction of the day and were perfectly well behaved in their crate for the car ride, and all day in the office.
Day 55, September 6th
Puppies had their second vet visit and got their first round of innoculations. They were troopers. It is so much fun to see how they are growing. Coordination, socialization, courage, curiousity, teamwork, respect, all characteristics of a great Samoyed. And did I mention how cute they are? Puppies got their first bath - each got a warm water rinse and a nice massage. You guessed it! They all loved it!
Day 38, August 20th
These puppies have more visitors than Santa Claus! Scroll down to the bottom to see some of them. This is the time when puppies need to be introduced to all kinds of new experiences, especially people! And these puppies are surely getting their share of attention from friends, family, new parents, neighbors and Sammy lovers from Pennsylvania to Virginia. Scroll down to the bottom to see some of the puppy fans and their puppies!
Day 28, August 10th
Time sure flies when you are having fun. Puppies are eating raw food mush, running, hopping, and getting LOTS of attention from family, friends, neighbors and the "big dogs."
Day 21, August 3
Everyone is up and moving! Their eyes are open and bright; their puppy teeth are just starting to emerge; their noses and lips are turning black, and they are starting lots of puppy play. They are amazing to watch and even better for snuggling. Flurry is still taking her job seriously - she's a trooper with feeding and cleaning. We've had lots of visitors and Flurry watches carefully but is fine with folks handling her puppies.
y 14, July 28
Eyes are opening! They are starting to communicate, especially when Flurry enters teh box. It's fun to also see them start to bond to each other more. Play is starting. Flurry continues to be a wonderful, careful Mom. Abe is still the only pooch she allows in the puppy room, but she's definitely becoming more comfortable with Sarah and Halo nearby.
Day 12, July 26
No open eyes yet today, but boy are they ever moving and talking! They are also starting to sense each other and snuggle more together. Holding them is so addictive!
Day 11, July 25
All five puppies are getting much stronger and more physically coordinated. And their personalities are starting to show. We've got kissers, snugglers, achievers, movers and explorers. Flurry allowed Abraham to visit with the puppies. The puppies all like to be held, they relax quickly when massaged, and they all can smell Flurry coming from yards away! Their black pigment is starting to show in spots on their noses, lips and pawpads. Their eyes are still closed but they look very close to opening. And their ears are covered with wavey fur.
Day 8, July 22
Puppies are all growing before our eyes. Their personalities are starting to emerge- the BEST part of having puppies! Flurry is playing and eating again with her "pack" as we would have hoped.
Day 4-7, July 17-21 Flurry and puppies are doing so well! They've gained 100% of their at-birth body weight! They are all snuggling, talking and adventuring all around the puppy box.
Day 3, Wednesday, July 16 Puppies have gained 3.5-4 oz already!
Day 1, Monday, July 14: Puppies were all between 15 oz and 1lb 1 oz at birth! Flurry is a wonderful Mom and is very comfortable with us handling her babies.
