Halo wins Best of Breed at the Delaware County Kennel Club Dog Show in York, PA. Thanks to Samoyed breeder and judge John Ronald, and great friends and competitors, we had a great day and Halo earned more adoring fans as he brought warm smiles to sooo many faces.

Easter wins Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex to the Best of Breed at the York Kennel Club Dog Show in York, PA. Thanks to judge Katherine Bell and great friends, we had a wonderful day! Easter really showed that she loves the show ring....as long as her mommy is handling her...Special thanks goes to friend and Samoyed breeder Judy Kovach who graciously agreed to let Easter practically pull her arm out of it's socket as they went around the ring while I handled Halo. Thanks again Judy!!!!!

Halo competes in his second Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Gardens in New York City. While Halo didn't with the breed, we were thrilled for Halo's littermate "Cruiser," who won Best of Opposite Sex to the Best of Breed! Thanks to Roy, Patty, Jordene, Cathy and other helpers and Halo-fans, we had a great time! And Halo inspired a poet to write a beautiful poem about him.

Easter earns Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at the Chester County Kennel Club show in Ludwigs Corner, PA. Thanks to judge Toddie Clark, Easter earned another point toward her champion title. And my husband Roy got his first experience showing a Sammy in the Best of Breed round! Congratulations to Hammy Davis Jr (#1 Samoyed in the country) and owner/friend Amy Kiell-Green for winning Best of Breed!

Halo competes at Westminster, Madison Square Gardens, NY! Well, we made it!...on time, prepared and feeling good! We didn't win the breed, but it was a fabulous experience thanks to the encouragement and support of mentors Patty McCallum, Amy Kiell-Green, Marge Goodenough and Chris Miller. AND thanks goes to Roy, the best kennel help in the world! Congratulations goes to (Halo's grandfather) Ch. White Magic's Rock Star who was expertly handled and looked his best!

Halo wins Best of Breed and Easter wins Reserve Winners! Thanks goes to judge Ms. Helene Nietsch at the Annapolis Kennel Club dog show in West Friendship, Maryland. Altogether, it was a phenomenal weekend for SnowAngels Samoyeds and others! The competition was top top notch, and the sportsmanship and commraderie among Samoyed owners and handlers could set a benchmark.

Willhauck who judged almost 30 Samoyeds yesterday at the Annapolis Kennel Club dog show in West Friendship, Maryland. Halo earned Best of Opposite Sex for the second day in a row in a field of very heavy competition! Woo Hoo!!!!! Easter? Well.....she had a "puppy day" and didn't want to run in a straight, or a curved line...or stand still...tomorrow's another day :)

Halo earns his designation as a Therapy Dog! On the day after his 2nd birthday, Halo earned his official title as a Therapy Dog through Maryland's Pets on Wheels program. Now we'll be able to share Halo as a therapy dog with seniors, children and all people in need. Another 2009 goal met!

Lisl, Roy, Halo and Easter joined Potomac Valley Samoyed Club members for a wonderful day in DC. We joined 20 other Sammies and their owners for a day on the Mall. We started at the US Capital and walked to the White House, where we joined thousands of others to watch the lighting of the national menorah and Christmas tree. It was a wonderful day!

Flurry gives birth to 5 fabulous puppies!
3 big, happy boys; and 2 healthy, talkative girls; one very proud, healthy Mom; and two VERY tired old folks (us)! Flurry and Halo's first litter is an outstanding one. Halo wins Best of Opposite Sex both days! The weather was less than desireable but despite muddy paws and bellies, it was a very happy occasion. "Lovey" (#1 Sam in the country) took Best of Breed both days, so it was great for Halo to earn Best of Opposite Sex. Thank you judges Whitney Coombs and Arley D. Hussin, both of whom made the experience a fun one! And thanks to friends who made the cold, wet weekend an overall great time!

We carefully evaluted the qualities and pedigrees of these two wonderful Samoyeds and decided to encourage a breeding. We were successful (Halo and Flurry made it easy for us). Based on the assumption that both pooches' reproductive systems are working well, we should have a litter (first for both Flurry and Halo) in early July. Thank you Judge Ms. Angela J. Porpora! It was an incredible day...Halo was a dream boy in the ring. Halo's brother "Cruiser" won Best of Breed, and the always-amazing "Lovey" as Best of Opposite. To be in their company as Best of Winners was indeed an honor. And it was fun to be in line with Winners Bitch "Fergilicious," an absolutely precious girl! It was especially wonderful to be able to finish Halo with Patty McCallum (Halo's first Mom) looking on. Halo made her extra happy. WoooooooHoooooooo!!!! SnowAngels' first boy champion sammy!
