Deal Lisl,
This is a wonderful and very educational site about Samoyeds. They are so very precious.
I actually wanted to express my heartfelt condolencses on your father's passing. I say from the bottom of my heart that Dr. Dutterer was truly an angel. Growing up as a Baltimore inner-city youth, I can speak for many of us and say that Dr. Dutterer was a father to those of us who did not have one. I started out as a middle-school student in the Associated Student Congress of Baltimore City by accident. I honestly didn't even want to go to my first meeting, but your father said he saw special in me. Throughout my school years, your father pushed me, encouraged me, and nurtured me to live up to my highest God given potential. I went on to hold several offices within ASCBC including serving as a Student Commissioner on the Baltimore City School Board and ultimately becoming the President of ASCBC in my senior of high school.
Those achievements and a lot of my achievements outside of ASCBC/MASC would not have been possible without Dr. Dutterer. He always had time for his children, as he would call us. He always had a listening ear and a kind word and what I loved most about him was how he stood up and went to bat for us when he felt an injustice was being committed.
Your father's guidance helped me to become who I am today; a successful and prosperous business woman now living in New York. He will always be loved and remembered by those of us of whom he first showed love.
