Where Samoyeds are honored and loved
Flurry
It's confirmed! Flurry will be having puppies in mid July! Yippeee!  Halo is the sire.  But to be as excited about this as we are, you have to learn more about Flurry....

As Sarah’s first (and so far only) girl puppy, we sought a name that would identify this little furball as Sarah’s daughter...and the name needed to fit with "SnowAngels"  Looking guilty for a good reason.... This adorable little girl indeed moved like an angel and she was as adorable and loving as a cherub, but her bold, independent, move-first-think -later personality was a little more like an angel who was trying to get out of heaven, than spending eternity there.
So we settled on a name that related to the “snow” part of Snow Angels- Flurry (Ch. Cot’n Pic’n Botelogin Lookin for Fun!).

To learn more about her mother's pedigree, see Sarah's page. Flurry's pedigree includes 100% American and Canadian champions for more than five generations including (father) Ch. Polarmist Cotn Picn Botelorum- 2004 Specialty Sweepstakes winner and (grandmother) Ch. Polar Mist Girls Got Rhythm.

Flurry and Sarah But back to the girl.....
As we spent months preparing Flurrys' brothers for their new homes, there was never any talk of parting with Flurry.  Flurry has a way of getting what she wants...she chose us.

Flurry is a briliant light, even if sometimes it seems like she's more like a neon sign than a star in the east!  Once she's expended some energy through a good romping session, or a long scooter-pulling-mommy session, she's the sweetest, most lighthearted soul you'd ever hope to engage in a  good snuggle session. She's an athletic, confident, playful, respectful treasure.  She clearly represents the essence of the working Samoyed.  She is a strong, athletic, brilliant, pack-focused girl with absolutely amazing endurance.

Flurry is happiest when she has a job, but she's just as thrilled to play. Her favorite activities include pulling a scooter or sled, engaging Halo and Sarah in romping, and chasing rabbits and squirrels (in that order). It's a joy to watch her work, play and move.

....And she's a very clear communicator. From her first show, Flurry let us know that she preferred most any other activity over the craziness of dog shows. However, despite her misgivings, she always pulled herself together when it was her turn in the ring. Thanks to Barbara Waldkirch’s protege, handler Erin Nesbit, Flurry won her first major win her second time in the show ring, followed by multiple Best of Winners awards.

One of Flurry's most impressive wins, under the expert handling of Cathy Schott, was at the 2007 Samoyed Cub of America National Specialty, where Flurry won 1st place in the American Bred class. Thanks again to the handling of Cathy Schott, Flurry earned her final points, in back-to-back major wins at the Upper Marlboro Kennel Club Show in October, 2007.

Flurry wins 1st place at the National Specialty!
