Me
I've shared my life with Samoyeds for over 30 years. I only started showing and breeding Samoyeds 5 years ago. I have been overwhelmed at times by affect these wonderful dogs have had on my life.
Philosophy
I believe that Samoyeds are gifts from God and should be honored, respected, loved and shared with the world. I believe that I am here to care for them in ways that honor their heritage, respect their unique needs, and allow other people to share in the joy and love each of wants to give to others.
In return, I have had the benefit of learning so much about happiness and peace from these wonderful animals.
In these Samoyeds, I see enthusiasm, joy, wonder, stength, intelligence, curiosity, respect, courage, humor, resilience, confidence, loyalty, determination, peacefulness, gratefulness, tenderness and unconditional love.
Being stewards of these precious animals allows me to see God at work every time I look into their eyes, and every time I see the smiles on the faces of the people they meet.
Daily Life
I don’t have an outside kennel so the yard is their playground. Re-soding and re-seed is constant, but the pooches are generally respectful of the landscaping...unless there’s a slow squirrel, rabbit or misguided cat that wanders into
their yard.
In the spring, summer and fall months, we participate in local conformation shows, charity fund-raising, and animal awareness events. You can see the results of those activities on
Sarah, Flurry, Halo, and
Easter's pages.
Halo, Sarah and
Flurry are also certified therapy dogs through the
Pets on Wheels of Central Maryland.
In the winter....
ahhh....the winter......
we run, hike, and visit
Marge Goodenough’s farm in Myersville, MD for sledding. There's nothing that makes a Samoyed go bonkers more than the sights of snow, a harness, Mom or Dad dressed for the snow, a sled, or scooter.
Our Goals for 2011
First and foremost....is always to have happy, healthy Samoyeds, and to share them with others.
My next goal for the year was achieved when I learned that
Halo and
Easter both secured positions in the
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
For Halo, it was his third year in a row. We had a wonderful time and hope to go back again next year.

I am working toward AKC Good Canine Citizen Program awards for Flurry,Halo and Easter by the end of 2011.
A goal for 2009 was reached when we launched our SnowAngels Samoyeds Facebook page. It's a great way to promote the breed, meet, and learn from other Samoyed fans.
